This policy explains how vehicles are picked up and delivered when you book auto transport coordination with United Car Ship LLC.
What we deliver
United Car Ship LLC coordinates vehicle transport. We are not the motor carrier. A licensed carrier performs pickup and delivery. You are buying transport coordination (open or enclosed, door-to-door), not a guaranteed calendar-day truck.
Service area
Standard service is the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and international moves are not standard and are arranged only case by case, or we may refer you to a specialist.
Export restrictions
We do not offer standard international vehicle export or import. Overseas and cross-border shipments, including moves that require ocean containers or port processing, are not part of our regular service. Ask us before booking if your origin or destination is outside the contiguous United States.
Door-to-door
Door-to-door means as close as the truck can legally and safely reach. If streets are too narrow, have low branches, or cannot accommodate a full-size carrier, the driver may ask you to meet at a nearby lot such as a grocery store or shopping center.
Pickup and delivery windows
We provide estimated pickup and delivery windows, not guaranteed calendar dates. Windows can move because of weather, traffic, DOT hours-of-service, mechanical issues, or multi-stop routing. Expedited options still depend on carrier availability.
Transit times
Regional moves often take a few days. Cross-country moves often take one to two weeks. Actual time depends on distance, route, season, and capacity. Your coordinator shares a range when you book and updates you as the shipment moves.
Who must be present
You or a trusted adult representative must be at pickup and delivery to hand off keys, walk the inspection, and sign the bill of lading. Arrange an authorized representative in advance if you cannot attend.
Vehicle preparation
Leave about a quarter tank of fuel. Remove personal belongings that are not approved in advance (they are not covered by carrier cargo insurance). A small amount of luggage in the trunk, typically up to 100 lbs, may be allowed when approved. Disable alarms and toll tags. Disclose inoperable or modified vehicles before booking. A $150 non-operational fee may apply.
Updates
Call (201) 273-9882 or email info@unitedcarship.com for status. Many carriers share a driver contact after dispatch. GPS live maps are not always available.
