This page describes our security capabilities for payment card details. This website does not transmit card numbers.
We do not collect card numbers on this website
Quote and contact forms collect name, phone, email, route, vehicle details, and message text only. There is no field on this site for a full Primary Account Number (PAN) or CVV/CID.
How card payments are taken
If you book, a deposit may be charged in USD on our licensed payment processor's secure hosted invoice or pay page (HTTPS). We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Remaining balance is often due at delivery to the carrier (cash, cashier's check, or money order) unless your order says otherwise. All prices and card charges are in United States Dollars (USD).
Encryption in transit
This website is served over HTTPS/TLS. Browser-to-server traffic for quote and contact forms is encrypted. Card data entered on the processor's hosted pay page is encrypted in that processor's environment, not on United Car Ship servers.
What we store
We do not store full PAN or CVV. We may keep last four digits, card brand, amount, authorization date, and order id as needed for receipts and disputes.
PCI DSS
Card deposits are processed by a PCI DSS compliant licensed payment processor. United Car Ship does not ask customers to email or text card numbers or CVVs. Do not send card details over email or SMS.
Phishing
Our official website is www.unitedcarship.com. We will not ask you to confirm a card by clicking an unexpected link. If something looks wrong, call (201) 273-9882 or email info@unitedcarship.com and contact your card issuer.
