Please review this refund and cancellation policy before booking. Auto transport is a service, not a boxed good; cancelling an order is how you "return" the service.
Scope
This policy covers deposits paid to United Car Ship LLC for transport coordination. All prices and card charges are in United States Dollars (USD). Carrier-collected balances at delivery follow your order and the carrier's tariff.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Call (201) 273-9882 or email info@unitedcarship.com with your name, phone, and quote or order id. Dispatched orders should be canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup when possible.
Before a carrier is dispatched
If we have not dispatched a carrier, your deposit is fully refunded.
After a carrier is dispatched
If a carrier has been dispatched, the deposit is kept. There is no extra cancellation fee beyond the deposit.
Vehicle not ready or unavailable
If a carrier is sent and the vehicle is not ready as indicated, a $75 reschedule fee applies. If the vehicle becomes unavailable during a scheduled pickup window after an order is placed, the deposit is not refunded.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds of card deposits return to the original card, in USD. We typically send the refund within 5–10 business days after approval. Your card issuer may take additional time to post it.
Card disputes
Please contact us first if there is a billing problem. You still have the right to dispute a charge with your card issuer under that issuer's process.
Booking with another company
Please do not double-book another transporter for the same move. Competing for the same drivers can raise the price and delay dispatch. We do not automatically forfeit your deposit for that reason; the refund rules above still apply.
